Toy Photography is fun, specially if you have a theme that redefines your creative ability! Theme Scale War is a sub stream that I run on special set of diecast scale model cars where I collect multiple scale of a same car. For today’s photoshoot I picked 1:18 on the larger end and 1:64 on the smaller!
This 1:18 scale diecast scale Lamborghini Murcielago is made by Maisto and the 1:64 Murcielago is made by Mattel Hot Wheels. The details are exceptional on both the diecast scale models and what I like the most about them is the bright orange paint job. Hot Wheels did an exceptional job in opticals so I tried to emphases them in my photos.
Who said exotics should have two doors? Lamborghini’s Estoque is a four door super car that broke that myth! Here we have 1:64 Estoque by Mattel Hot Wheels and 1:18 by Motomax. Because I wanted to show the elegance of its four doors and aggressive front end, I picked the profile angle and an elevated 3/4 angle for todays shoot.
My favorite Lamborghini in my entire collection is this 1:18 Lamborghini Aventador by Bburago! So it natural that this car will get some special attention so here it goes… Because I like the swing open doors of this Aventador, I took that to advantage and kept the Maisto made 1:64 version in a angle and took the shot through the window! And the second one shows the sharp tail lamps details on both these cars!
Finally the British Beauty Bentley Continental GT comes to the stands! This car is an all round beauty so I focused on the smaller 1:64 version made by Matchbox and it rocked the show! The matchbox made and exceptional effort and the opticals both front and back are mind-blowing! The 1:18 Bentley Continental GT is by Welly FX and that gives a tough fight to matchbox.
