I love Yamaha bike especially the R1 and R6, they have the style and substance to go with. And newer version of Yamaha R1 gets better and better with every iteration and this 2021 YZF R1 version is the best in my opinion! Good that Maisto is making on in 1:12 scale and I am thankful for that. Yeah Maisto’s 2022 catalog has some great new releases and we covered 2022 Suzuki Hayabusa and the next big one is this 2021 Yamaha YZF R1.
Me being a big Yamaha R1 fan, have few Yamaha R1s in my collection made by Maisto and also by Newray. If I get this, it will become my 3rd Yamaha R1 by Maisto and 4th R1! So I am so much excited for this guy to make it to our shore soon. Though this Yamaha YZF R1 was officially in Maisto’s 2022 catalog but no official pics released so I put up photos of the real bike for reference.
As the information released is not that sufficient for us to conclude on any release dates or colors it will be released. I wanted this R1 also to be released in its trademark blue so that I will maintain the color pallet in my display cabinets and also the black looks a bit boring but I am sure there will be some takers it as well.
As we are in the early stages, there is no official release date or price point. But these details should start showing up as the days passes by, we can only assume that this 2021 Yamaha YZF R1 reaches us within this year. Last year’s Ducati X Diavel, 2021 Honda CBR1000RR-R Fireblade SP and 2019 BMW R1250 GS are still to see light so we can only assume at this point in time.
