Maisto recently unveiled 2020 catalog’s cover photo (Printed catalogs will be available at Nuremberg and NY Toy Fairs in Jan/Feb and online in mid-Feb!) and it had this beautiful 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 in blue! Ford Shelby GT500 is a sexy car and 2020 version gets some nice performance addition with downforce enhancing bit making it sexier than ever. Though the cover photo is that of the real car but it kindled series thought/discussion among 1:18 and 1:24 diecast car collectors who prefers American Muscle cars.
I have fewer Ford GT500s in my 1:18 collection and just love them all! This 2020 should looks sharper and the blue body work with white strips makes it a lot fancier!
This Ford Shelby GT500 comes with blackened alloy wheels and white strips, which makes it sharper than its basic counterpart! Those massive front and rear spoiler should add more downforce also gives meaner looks.
As of now only color that this 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 to be released will be the blue with white strips(based on released photos and updates from Maisto) and I hope they also make the red with white strips because me and so many other collectors adore them.
As of now, Maisto have not revealed any updates on the pricing, release date and even the scales in which these GT500 are to be made! But going with our past experience we should have this beautiful 2020 Ford Shelby GT500 by the first quarter of this year. We will keep you updated on the progress, so stay tuned!
