Hotwheels Elite releases 1:18 scale Dom’s 1970 Dodge Charger from the movie “The Fast and the Furious”

The Fast and the Furious series of movies were considered to be a must follow series for any street racing aficionado. It has every thing from Classic American Muscle to Light Japanese Imports to some big rigs! But the entire movies bloodline just revolves around these two characters(Dom and Brian) and their cars… Dom being an American Muscle lover like this 1970 Dodge Charger, its a race car once used by his father, which is heavily modified for drag racing and can pull wheelies! Even Dom is afraid of its power!! So this Super Bad Ass car is something that every fan wants in his desk so Hotwheels decision to make one of these is not a surprise at all.

This is not the first 1:18 scale diecast model of this movie famed 1970 Dodge Charger because that award goes to ERTL JoyRide, which made this model some times back along with other “Fast and Furious” movie series cars. But this Hotwheels model if pegged next to the ERTL JoyRide the former would win the race by a huge margin… The ERTL JoyRide model I would say as a 1970 Dodge Charger with some mods on but not when compared to this Hotwheels edition that featured details like a blown Hemi engine, Torqueflite transmission, racing gauges as well as a full roll cage and sheet metal interior with a single driver’s seat.

  • Its is a must have if you like American Muscle car or the Fast and Furious movie or the charector Dom! But if you already have the same Dodge Charger by ERTL then think twice if you are just going to leave in the desk or display. This version costs around $150 which is around three time the ERTL version but worth every dime you spend on it.

I personally will buy it even if I already have the ERTL version as this is that good.. for comparison I could just bring up the 1:18 Mclaren F1 build by Maisto and the AUTOart recently. One small glitch that I see is the rear rims that seems a little off position but it could be only in this model. So if you have made the decision to buy one of this awesome movie piece then try this site diecastautoworld.com.
