I love big high raised trucks and the monster trucks are my absolute top favorite! This monster truck culture started with this first massive truck called Bigfoot based on the 1974 Ford F-250 built by Bob Chandler. The monster truck arena had evolved a lot but the original always holds a special place in every enthusiast heart. Ever since I started collecting diecast scale model, I visioned having a monster truck in the mix and I finally started jumping when I heard this massive announcement from Greenlight Collectiables in their facebook page.
Yes, Greenlight has announced diecast Bigfoot monster in the most popular 1:18 scale and they even released few photo of the pre-production sample and they look super cool. I stated jumping when I saw the post and immediately going through the specs and started reading about the release dates and stuff related to this legend.
This is not the first Bigfoot by Greenlight Collectiables, they had released 1:64 and 1:43 in the past and tasted success with the same cast! Looking at the sample photos, seems like Greenlight Collectiables has an other winner in their hands! This truck unlike its smaller counterparts comes with opening doors, trunk and hood that reveals the massive engine.
Like most monster trucks this Bigfoot also has a minimalistic interior, which was captured quite well by the crafters in Greenlight Collectiables. The doors open really wide to reveal those beautiful interiors. What I like the most of the sample is the engine detail like the piping and connectors. The chrome detail are also picked well and the roller mounted fog lamps are a nice touch.
At this time, Greenlight Collectiables dint revealed any price point but good news is that I will be released by July this year! Their is a chance that this Bigfoot monster truck might come as a limited edition too like it 1:64 brothers but no official confirmation on that yet. Overall I am super happy for this monster truck and already started standing in the queue for this baby. We will keep our radars focused to bring you any updates that may come in days to come. Till then, Ciao.
