It’s about time to look back and see what I achieved this year! This year went well and I ended up picking fewer 1:18 diecast cars(just one more than last year) but this year’s collection is not about quantity but about the quality! I picked five cars but the variety is diverse! In terms of brands Lamborghini took the top spot in Cars eating up 3 respectable spaces!
Lets start with my favorite 1:18 scale cars… The first in this list is Bburago Signature series Ferrari FXXK Evo in red. This was announced early this year(news coverage here) and I managed to get my hands on this around September. To be frank I don’t like Bburago Ferraris as much Mattels, but this Ferrari FXXK Evo changed my perception all together and made a Fan of this red beauty.
Next up is this sexy 1961 Chevrolet Corvette in Mako Shark livery by Motormax. I have been in look out for this Chevrolet Mako Shark since I this in AUTOart’s website agues back but cannot get my hands on that due to lack of stock, import difficulty etc. so when I saw this in the display rack I grabbed it without thinking twice! Though no where near the build of AUTOart but a worthy alternative(on a budget) for sure.
Next come the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo in black by Motormax… If I have to be called a fanboy of one single brand that would be Lamborghini, I like everything about these cars and wanted to have a entire collection(if possible) so picking this Gallardo LP560-4 Super Trofeo is not a big surprise! I picked it from Hamleys, Bangalore the very next week after the Mako Shark over shooting my diecast hobby budget but I still went for it.
Then comes a subtle yet super sexy Lamborghini Centenario by Maisto! Yeah, not the exclusive but the base variant because I wanted this carbon fiber variant! I been waiting for Maisto to release a exclusive version in carbon-fiber but that dint happened so settled for this and loving it very much!
Finally my favorite color Lamborghini in their entire lineup… yeah its the green AKA Verde Mantis Lamborghini Huracan Performante by Maisto. I already have a same shade Lamborghini Huracan LP610-4(review here) by Bburago, and I love it like hell so when I saw this Performante variant in Modelart (hobby store in Bangalore) I couldn’t resist the urge and billed it almost immediately! I would have loved the gold wheels like the AUTOart variant but these black do look good on this car!
