Diecast Car, Bike and Trike Collection of the Year 2024

The year 2024 is coming to an end… yet an other subtle year I may say in terms of diecast collection but decently not a boring year! Though the numbers don’t add up for an exciting year but I am kind of excited as I have opened up my collection to a 1:18 scale Rolls Royce and also a rickshaw! Also I keep picking some toys, which I loved so that is some thing to talk about in this year end “Diecast Collection of the Year 2024” Lets start exploring what I got this 2024 the New Year party starts.

1:24 Che Zhi - Wuling Mini EV

Let me start with my birthday gift… I love diecast cars and anything diecast makes me happy so my better half is continuously feeding me with diecast after diecast every year and this year she gifted me this “Che Zhi” 1:24ish Wuling Mini EV. This is a great diecast car for its scale, it comes with a magnetic charging pod and bike in matching color. Though the outer package don’t have any Wuling logos or badging, the inside bracket has it so I feel its some kind of rebranded toy! But this got me excited so who cares! Thanks wifey!

1:8 E-Scooter

Up next is the only bike I picked this year! This E-Scooter is cool, the box says 1:8 scale but feels it is far smaller for a 1:8 scale. This again is a heart’s call. As I keep see this again and again in the shop almost every day, so one day I decided to take him with me home. There were two versions actually on sale but I decide to get this on and left the other yellow one for later.

1:12 Rickshaw

Actually this rickshaw is my first purchase of the year 2024 and I been eyeing this for for quite some time and pulled the trigger this year to break the ice. This is a beautiful piece, which also brings in a lot of childhood days memory as I used to go school in one of these rickshaw with my mom and sisters and I always enjoyed the ride. I may build a diorama with this rickshaw, but that for later. There also was matching bicycle but that dint excite me the way this did so I left it for later.

LUMO - Suzuki Jimny

I picked two 1:16ish plastic toys this year from a fairly unknown brand LUMO!! I picked my favourite compact off-roader Suzuki Jimny in bright green, which is a great car and also has some music features and friction powered. Stand alone it looks like a 1:18 but the scale difference becomes more obvious only when u put this next to a real scale model in 1:18 scale. This one don’t have any Suzuki or Jimny logo on it as it is not a licensed but I am ok for the price! I may do some mods to this in the future to make it look dirty and proper off-roader.

LUMO - Tank SUV

The second plastic toy is this boxy SUV! I don’t know what this brand or have any info on this SUV, but I kind of fell in love with this on first look, so after dodging this for some time… I finally pulled the trigger towards the end of the year and he made it to the list on time. There was an other color green but I wanted this grey color, which elevated the serious nature of this suv! I actually liked the scale difference in this as this gives the illusion of bigger SUV parked.

1:18 Willys Jeep

I am one big Jeep Wrangler fan and been on lookout for the Willys Jeep and the AUTOart version id out of my league! But this year luck struck me hard and found this Willys Jeep for a steal price! This is a not a licensed Jeep I guess as Willys is not mentioned anywhere in this Jeep. It has KDW logo and this beauty is addressed as Tactical Jeep! This is one cool Jeep for any 1:18 scale collector. It feels a little small but looks very accurate to scale in my opinion.

Diecast - Rolls Royce Ghost

Finally the big boy in the house… 1:18 scale unlicensed Rolls Royce Ghost! Yeah this is yet an other unlicensed diecast car but I don’t mind as I kind of like it so much and been looking for a affordable Rolls Royce for quite some time. This again is not very accurate to the scale but I guess it is not that bad as I only paid 3k for this beauty as opposed to 30-35k for Kyosho etc.! Overall it is a great one. Though this year is not a great year in terms of numbers but not a very bad year because I was busy doing diorama and working on elevating my display and photography, so next year I may add what I missed this year. Have a safe and wonderful New Year party, Happy New Year 2025. Ciao.
