Repaint is a new form of pop art, wherein the doll’s face is treated like a three dimensional canvas, with the added challenge of painting within a very small area and an even greater challenge of recreating a real person’s likeness. Since dolls are basically miniature pieces, brush strokes and shading have to be very controlled and precise. Noel Cruz is one of the most versatile & distinguished repaint artists in the doll community. He is most recognized for his character & celebrity dolls, which includes Michael Jackson, Daniel Craig, Orlando Bloom, Johnny Depp, Robert Pattinson, Marilyn Monroe, Elizabeth Taylor, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Princess Diana and many many more…
- I am a big time Twilight fan so picking a favorite is not a big deal!! It is none other than “Edward Cullen” and “Bella Swan” which looks so realistic.. The upgrade includes full facial repaint and shading as well as extensive hair style make over to replicate the features of Kristen Stewart(as the vampire Bella) and Robert Pattinson as they appeared in Breaking Dawn Part 2. I also like the way their costumes are done especially Edward’s Jacket that pops a pep look.

It is infact a meticulous job as Noel say but the satisfaction that he get by the end result is humungous! This time consuming passion does gets him big bugs as these model can easily go for over 3000$ on a good day.. He says it takes about 2days finish a project if he sits down and do it at a stretch! These dolls are either 12 inches or 16 inches by height and are usually Mattel made barbies of other maker like Hotworks etc. for hollywood charactors. He sells his creation through ebay and also runs a website to showcase his work. Also his Facebook page is filled with his upcoming work details and bid starting date, which is very usefull if you are planning to add these beauties to your collection.
