BMW makes some of the most driver focused daily drivable cars in the world… And the M division of BMW takes this to all new levels! I am a big fan of BMW M cars both in real world and also in 1:18 diecast scale cars. M3 takes the top honor and this M6 takes the slot right next to it. I been looking for this model allover the place but until now I wasn’t lucky! When I saw this model in Modelart Bangalore, all I can do is to choose a color, how to pay for it and what excuse should I give for this purchase!
- This Bimmer comes in a nice window packaging with some subtle engravings for logos and stuff!! Paragon Models have done a wonderful job in putting this model and the same amount of thought process also went into this package! The outer box is made out of non reflective material which is a good thing! The inner frame is very sturdy and there is only four screws holding it to the actual model. The logos on the frame in bright white paint is a bummer and it demands more attention than the model name itself!
- The package can be compared to that of the AUTOart Performance series with a frame much more chunkier and beefier to tackle the heavier models from Paragon Models! This being a 1:18 scale model comes loaded with opening features like the doors, hood and the trunk… Doors are secured in place by a elastic band (like the AUTOart) and the trunk by a simple Welly like band.
- What set this BMW M6 Coupe apart is its weight! This is so heavy that I feel like I am working out with some light weight dumbbells. Apart from the weight this model hold some details like the chunky alloy wheels, smart DLR and interiors.
Adding a new model is fun! That too if it is a diecast model that you always wanted in your collection or even in your garage! This BMW 1:18 M6 is a model closer to heart and all I could do is drool and drool over it than finding faults! One fault that I can make out is the wheels that gets stucked and refuses roll along! So stay tuned for a more detailed review and comparison with my AUTOart CLS. Ciao!!
