MotoGP replicas are the favorites among collectors all over the place… This NewRay 1:12 scale Ducati Monster 796 also falls into that category, that is hotshot or hotcake. But I am a diehard Valentino Rossi so got the other 1:12 Ducati Monster carrying his No.46 and decal scheme(check the unboxing here) and to get some harmony in my collection I also picked this one up along. The box that FlipKart’s logistic team send is a little bigger that usual but ok size to put enough bubble wrap for protection and the actual NewRay boxes in tact!
- As mentioned in my previous unboxing of the Rossi Version Monster the package too a nasty bump but fortunately no physical damage to the model or its package.
The NewRay box packing is pretty much trashed and the same is visible in the above photo.. The unboxing experience is same as all other NewRay 1:12 motorcycles in the recent past… lot of strings to untight and lot of care when removing them from damaging the model. This time I almost took a rear footpeg!
- My first impression on this Ducati Monster 796 is good, the paint schema execution is awesome and the lines and edges are done with exceptional details. Decals are nice too, I kind of like the lines in the wheels the most.
I know, I know this is not a comparison but I wanted to bring in the soul reason why I got this very model! And there is a reason why I kept the Rossi’s bike behind the Hayden because its too beautiful you would miss the very next bike all together. I would do a comparison of these models at the earliest and with atmost care. So till then ciao.
