NewRay 1:12 Ducati Monster 1100 – Unboxed

  • Yes its the bigger Ducati Monster 1100 is home… Last saturday I got the delivery of the Ducati Monster S4 from the same seller FlipKart… Though the it was ordered on the same day this was actually in an other warehouse so it took its own sweet time to hit me. Though this is a part of “The Big Billion Day” purchase this package did not have any sticker that shouts that a loud! Even the Flipkart package for this Ducati is a little smaller in comparison to the other Monster S4 package, but never the less compromised on safety factors! All the bubble wrapping was properly in place and the package did come home in a better shape that the prior delivery.

  • Just checkout the number of stings I have to untight to release this Monster!… If this would have been a Maisto the overall unboxing experience would have been a breeze. Also the box is fragile as there is no support vertically! After some neverse yet patient undoing the tights this beautiful Ducati Monster 1100 is out into the real world!

  • Yes this diecast model from NewRay has it own array of issue like the missing review mirror reflectors and also the speedometer sticker! And scale kind of seems a little off! But for me its all ok as it is something that I been trying to set my hands on for sometime. Plans for guy would be a little “Ducati Family Shoot” as have 11 red Ducs now and a head to head comparison with my other Ducati Monster 696 by Maisto… So hold on and stay tuned!

  1. I bought one of these off ebay and it came in the mail today.

The biggest thing I don’t like is the unpainted grey plastic they used to make the engine block assembly. Guess I’ll get some paint and touch that up. Mine did have the speedometer sticker and mirror inserts though.

I also really hate the wire ties New Ray uses on these bikes. I actually popped the front fender loose from the bike while trying to remove it from the box. I was able to fix it, but it’s still frustrating that they use this method.

Overall, I’m happy with the replica. A little touch up paint, and it should be a good addition.

  2. The good thing about this NewRay is that they have suprisingly used Metal tank unlike their usual models which have all plastic body. But yes, paint quality is not good, the rear tail section is dull very dull!!!
