As reported earlier here in our news spool section “Maisto wows 1:12 Bike Collectors with KTM Super Duke 1290, Ducati Hypermotard SP, Harley Davidson Sportster Iron 883 and more Harleys” the 1:12 scale diecast model of 2013 Ducati Hypermotors SP was released and I become one of those first few to set their hands on it. This was a surprise entry as I was not planning on this as I was not aware that this Ducati had reached out stores (even it rare in ebay so the surprise) I was just walking around with a friend inside the Hamleys Store in Phoenix Market City and found this by accident and bagged it almost immediately! Like most other Maisto 1:12 scale model bikes this Ducati Hypermotord SP also comes in a easy to open box! It hardly took a minute to unbox this Italian beauty! Here are steps… 1-Cut the seal, 2-Open the box, 3-Pull the plastic enclosure out, 4-Split the enclosure and 5-Free the model! Just in case if you run out of space(like me) and wanted to store this model back in its box again that’s where this box comes in handy!! As there are no fasteners or screws holding this model to the box repacking is a piece of cake.
This being a 1:12 scale motorcycle model the details that it sports are expected to be a class apart! But unfortunely this Ducati Hypermotord SP does fail big time as the details like the knuckle guard look tacky! The 1:1 Ducati Hypermotord SP comes with beautiful paint scheme and decals, Maisto has not disappointed us here! So should we keep it or dump it? I would say Keep it!!
