Miniature Diecast Photography is one of my favorite hobby, which I love more than collecting them… In fact I got into this hobby of collecting car specially to take photos of them in outdoor location. I usually like to stick onto a theme, which let me explore that particular theme more… Today’s theme for car photography is “Independence Day” AKA “Try Color” and I decide to use my 1:64 scale as opposed to 1:18 because of the cloudy/rainy weather.
For today’s tricolor toy car photography I wanted to pick three of my Hotwheels car but I did something similar last year(check it here) so I ran out of saffron color car so was force to pick a Maisto Dodge Challenger, which came with some kick ass details to put some high end Hotwheels and Matchbox car to shame.
For white color, I picked a Hotwheels made Porsche Boxter Spyder released as a part of 2012 HW Premiere. I got this from a toy store in KSA and love it to the core! I comes with a sleek body, decent headlamp detailing and beautiful decal work, which includes the logo as well.
And finally for green I took out my favorite Lamborghini I own in 1:64… Yeah its a 2011 New Models series green Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Superleggera, which is sitting in my collection display for quite some time. This one also gets some headlamp detailing and a black decal on the sides.
This photo shoot took place in my apartment balcony, I wanted to do this in our garden but bad weather restricted me to this balcony. Overall the shoot went well and the pics turned out as per expectation. Most shots are take using my trusty old Nikon D3100 with 35mm and 200mm lens but for super wide shots are done with my daily driver iPhone 8.
Overall I had fun shoot these tiny cars and processing them in my computer, which is challenging in its own way. The monkey ball is the Maisto Dodge Challenger, which sort of blow the other two Hotwheels out of the water with its details. Hope you had fun like I did… share your suggestions in the comment below.
