Welcome back to one other year-end collection wrap-up… The year 2021 was not a very good year for me in terms of numbers but a decent year taking into consideration the variety. So I named this year 2021 as a year of “Redefinition” as I picked some cool ways to enjoy this hobby. Yeah dint get that many, mean I only got three 1:12 diecast bikes(includes on scooter) and three plastic bikes that were to work well with 6 or 7 inch action figures.
Lets start with my favourite 1:12 scale Vespa 946 in cool black. Made by Newray, this Vespa was in my radar for quite some time. Finally I decided to grab him as he was taunting me so bad! I love picking model from stores as I get satisfaction of buy them like you do with a real bike. This came to from a neighbourhood toys store so I am giving back something.
If you are a regular follower of my blog, would know that I am not big fan of Royal Enfield (club bike of many Indians) but I do have fewer RE in my collection as they look cool in display. But this Red Classic-350 is a special gift by my wifey for my Birthday. My favourite toy store(Modelart Bangalore) was getting closed and most of their stock is wrapped as they had a clearance sale so this is the best she could pick! This definitely is the best gift so far.
Next up is a 1:12 scale Suzuki V-Storm 1000 by Maisto, this is the new release of 2020 and my biggest crush from last year. We showed were super excited for this Suzuki when it was announced and was not disappointed by Maisto. This being a 2020 V-Storm 1000XT comes with some interesting prospects! I love this guy for his red bodywork and tall stance. As I mentioned earlier, I picked this from physical store which is quite far but the drive is worth it!
One other brand I added is the Hasbro rider series bike… Yeah these are all really cool bikes but are not associated with any motorcycle brand. So the one got is the one that came with Punisher action figure but I only got this bike from a Facebook friend. The original idea for picking this bike is to customise but that day never showed up… May be in 2022.
I am big time Ironman fan now but Batman gets the same level of love as I am big big fan of his Cars and Bike! My favourite is his Bat-Pod from Dark Knight but like most of his Vehicles in general. I was waiting for a affordable Batman bike and this year a new online toy vendor Fat Catcollectibles imported some juicy McFarlane action figures along with some super cool bikes! The best of them is this Death Metal Batcycle and I grabbed it along with the Batman. Though not a diecast bike, this is a must have if you into Batman and his vehicles.
Seems like Batman bug had bit me… I went ahead and pick another Batcycle, this time from their Animated series purely for its sear size and bulk. This Batcycle is a no match for the Death Metal Batcycle in-terms of details but this is a sleek speed demon, which is can even grow up in length for those fast chase. There is one more Batcycle(from the upcoming Batman movie) in my radar for 2022 but thats for 2022. This is my collection of diecast bikes for this year 2021, do share your favourite in the comments section below. Have a safe and prosperous year ahead… HAPPY NEW YEAR!
