Ever since AUTOart reveled the news that It will make the McLaren MP4-12C in 1:18, we all are super excited because we know how much detail these guys put into a model(going with the McLaren F1). Then the prototype was shown in Nuremberg Toy Fair that only hyped the excitement more! Then floated a lot of images here and there and some ebay even taking preorders for this very mode… Finally the news id out that this McLaren MP4-12C is out! A friend also confirmed that his local vendor has it in his store. Its is as promised available in 3 shades (Orange, Red and Silver) and as per the feeds from sources suggest the quality is top class.
This Orange one above is my favorite as I am more inclined towards some exciting color that colors that could blend in. The finish seems on par with the pics that AUTOart put across in its site. But the quality is better as the pic are from the pre-production lineup.
This red seems to be my second favorite color of this trio but I am a little upset about AUTOart for not making this shade not to be in volcano red that MaLaren showcased it to the world. The below silver is the classiest of them all.. but for some collector like me they dont stand a chance right next the Orange CCX in bright orange.
I found few collectors got their 12C already and others who made preorders will get it before the holiday season(I believe). Price for this beauty hovers around USD220 to USD250.
