Ferrari cars are known for their speed and performance both on road and on track!! It also a must have if you are collector of model car. So far there is only Hotwheels and Hotwheels Elite if you are in a budget. On the other hand if you don’t mind breaking your bank then there are premium brands like BBR, Hotwheels Super Elite, MR.Models etc. None of these brands are accessible in India and the only way to acquire one is via import route, which now a days is very expensive… But the good news came to us in India in the form of Maisto/Bburago fetching the exclusive license from Hotwheels. This news created mixed reaction as the Hotwheels lovers suspected the quality and Bburago loving the new addition.
I love Ferrari but the because of the import complexity importing a foundation model cost me a woping $100+ for which I could get decent AUTOart…so this Bbuargo’s association with Ferrari is the best news in diecast industry so far! I was eagerly waiting for these models to hit our retail stores! The I had my doubts as when and at what price these would be retailed! All these question are answered when the prices are update in Hamleys India FB Page at INR.2995, which almost matched the international price of under $50! So Immediately I decided to visit Hamleys Bangalore the weekend and the very weekend I got my hands on this Bburago Ferrai F50 in 1:18 scale and dragged her home.
I like the way Bburago packaged this Ferrari F50! This 1:18 scale package hold a lot of Ferrari in it, starting from the all red left treatment, carbon fiber treatment to rest of box to the tri-color strip of carrying the Italian flag. It seems like it is some kind of celebration package(I guess it is to Bburago). And also this packaging resembles the package schema of Maisto.
-
Maisto resemblance became more obvious once unboxedThe package resemblance became more obvious once the box is opened and car holder is pulled out. No more styrofoam container like holder in its place is the Maisto’s cage like holder fastned by two Maisto size screws! The two side frame can be removed in the very same pattern as other Maisto Sepcial Edition package. The Display base(minus the badge) makes this claim more obvious!
- If this is your first Ferrari or even your first F50 then you would like it! The gaps kind of is a biggest issue for me but not a deal breaker. If pegged right next to my Hotwheels Elite Ferrari F12 Berlinetta it hold good for the price! The scaling issue seems ok but this should improve in the signature series! Am I happy with the purchase? Yes I am! Hold on for full review and bye for Now!
